Is it a Dog versus Cat World?

In a leading veterinary journal, there was an article published that discussed the notion that people pay more attention to their dogs than they do their cats.  The article went further on to tell about how those who are the guardians of dogs, spend more time and money on them than those whose charge is cats.

You may or may not be surprised by this, and quite honestly it is not too much of a surprise.  Especially considering that cats are generally considered far more independent than dogs, tending to appear to care for themselves rather than depend so much on their humans.

A Few Things that Annoy a Dog…But they Don’t Tell Us

If dogs were able to tell us what we do that they think is rather irksome, here are a few things they might just discuss with us:

1.  The Fake Out Throw: WOW!  You actually tricked a dog into thinking that you were going to throw the toy one way, so we headed in the other direction.  You ARE at the top of the intellectual hierarchy, here.

2.  Clearing the Room with the Passing of Gas:  Everybody does it…Agreed, that sometimes it’s the dog, but sometimes it isn’t.  Why pass the blame?

Who would have Thought?

There are two foods out there, both of them highly appealing to both humans and their canine pals, both of them having a number of health benefits.  When we say coconut and honey, do we generally consider that these ingredients used in baking, would have wellness and healing properties that are helpful to dogs and their humans?
